This post smells like a paid ad from someone who's posted an average of 800 deals per year over the past 13 years.
And that website with the experiment looks like a P&G marketing project with a statement that Dawn simply clean is the winner "because it's the most like original Dawn".
Fact is if you dilute Dawn Ultra to the same consistency you'll find the cost per ounce to be much cheaper than this product designed to provide false value.

Warning: A LOT of complaints on Amazon about this watered-down "Simply Dawn." If you're going to overpay for water, better to overspend on drinkable water, rather than water wasted diluting a cleaning product.

Never again will I buy this. I use at least twice as much as regular Dawn. One star required to post a review.
Don't waste your money! Diluted or bad cheap knock-off!

I ordered this becauae it listed at such a huge savings (& as a larger bottle) over the bottle of Palmolive I had been using (was gift from a friend). I'd always liled Dawn, and the fact that they use it safely on animals, after oil spills. Being listed as cheaper for more product, I was excited.
It's awful! Almost as if it has been diluted! It's like a cheap store knock-off, put in a bottle labeled as Dawn. I use 4 times as much, ofter have to rewash things SEVERAL times. And if there was any oil used in the cooking, it is a nightmare to get clean.
I honestly feel I would have been better off buying real Dawn from the dollar store. That stuff works lile Dawn should.
This (whatever it is) does not work as Dawn liquid should.
Not Dawn I know!!!

This was not the "Dawn" I have been using for years. Liquid was thin and watered down. Not effective on the grease.

This looks like a good try! The linked comparison crowned it king of the dishes!
I'm generally hesitant due to my last "oops," which was Palmolive Essential Clean -- it's essentially colored water, IMO. I've been using Dawn Platinum, which is phenomenally concentrated & effective. But this Simply Clean variant is worth a shot!

Towards the bottom of the page, there's an option to add this and a 6 pack of sponge for $8.76 with pickup. Do that and return the sponges to get yours without instore only purchase

I see that, but I'm also seeing that it says "Shipping not available" at the top of the page. Confusing.

Does anyone have experience with this particular version of Dawn? Big question: how watered down is it?

I haven't tried this particular one.
Here are a couple of things I found when I googled:
1. PDF info about Dawn Simply Clean [sprproductinformation.com]
2. A comparison that someone did between Dawn Ultra and Dawn Simply Clean [weebly.com]
