Allow me to say that even tho this is a great tv, going from $900 to $1700 for 10" (vs the 65") is off putting.

Agree. This should be at the low point of the 65 pq, which is $1400, with $1300 being super hot. The markups for extra 10" on some of these tvs seem ridiculous. The only respectable price difference between a 65 and 75 model has been the Sammy NU8000 from frys recently. Even the the 82" could have been had for $1899 from frys.

it's cause of shipping and less demand in general.

75"+ do have a significant price jump, and it probably would be a lot easier to absorb/understand if it came with included White Glove setup with shipping/delivery. It's hard for a lot of people to swallow almost $2k and then another $200-500 to get it hung on a wall. A lot of people can't hang these big boys up on a wall by themselves so that's an obstacle most avoid rather than overcome at this price range.

That said, I'm going to hold out until more of these models can reliably hit 1000+ nits for HDR and Dolby Vision. The premium for that is going to come down fast and will have cause the current model prices to fall again. At least I hope.
