Are these deals available in store as well, or online only?
If they are In stock at the location just take the item to the register and show them the website price and they will match. I guess a disclaimer, I have done this with items on sale not clearance items. Not sure if that matters or not.
Not passing judgment here; I grew up loving both legos and star wars and I will always have a soft spot for both. But I have to ask why are these popular?
I am fine with what Disney has done with the new ones but I thought they were not the grand slam for the general public like they were supposed to be. Star Wars, as a brand, has been merchandized to death for years before this.
Neither of these points are enough to tank the popularity of Lego's, but why buy sets tied to a lukewarm franchise?
Again, not saying anything good or bad about the movies themselves, just asking on the basis of one arbitrary metric of popularity.

Did you just go on a diatribe about Star Wars because you saw they make Star Wars LEGOs? Probably not the right forum. Your comments here should be about the deal/product. Go vent your feelings about the "lukewarm" franchise (oh I see what you did there - LUKEwarm) on Reddit.

So if this was a slick deal about let's say Overwatch, this would be the greatest thing since the invention of sliced bread. Am I right?

Not surprising you would get downvoted on an honest opinion, and SD'ers generally do that if something that doesn't follow the majority opinion while passing it off to "not being relevant to the SD itself." But I have to agree, I have hope for SW in the post-Skywalker series, but the current sets are really nothing "new" and are basically cosmetic redresses of ships from the Original Trilogy. Lucas was able to at least make the Prequel Trilogy ships and settings different enough to justify buying them in LEGO form, but the current series is "lacking" in anything that would make me buy any of them. Heck, last ship I bought was the U-Wing from Rogue One because of the glut of "same 'ol same 'ol" that LEGO has done with the SW franchise lately.

I don't think they're really that popular as sets. Most people probably buy these kinds of small sets in order to profit off the mini figures that you get from them.
As for why they keep releasing these mediocre sets I have no idea. But the Star Wars franchise is largely responsible for the current success of legos so they probably keep churning them out. Even the newest Lego movie 2 sets aren't that great.
I do like the new x-wings though. Snagged the Costco deal for around $50.
