"Good" might be pushing it. They're absolutely worth the $18 if you haven't made the jump to an SSD yet or you just want a drive to play with, but be warned of a few things that could affect reliability: 1) it is planar (2D) TLC NAND, which is not particularly well-known for reliability, and 2) it doesn't have a DRAM cache, requiring writes directly to flash that would normally stay in cache (drive layout information and such). While flash can be read regularly without wearing it, writing wears out flash.

That said, don't take that as me saying this isn't a good deal. This is a *fantastic* deal. Just know what you're getting into.

This is great for upgrading old people computers. They don't need a lot of space so this will be perfect.

Under 20 bucks is quite the steal for an SSD. These are good drives too. At this price it's a no brainer upgrade for anybody with their OS still on a hard disk.

I just switched one of our 2009-ish sony vaio school laptops over to this from its old 2x5400 RPM raids... between that, the 8gb PC26400, and the high-end core 2 duo, it's incredible the breath of life. if only the graphics weren't Geforce 9600m... still makes for a decent basic photoshop machine, though.

SSD is the most efficient upgrade you can do for an old tired sata drive. We are doing this to 200 PC's at my work - at this price, why not?
