Amazon and Target.com both have the Nerf Rival Hera for $30, which is not a bad deal considering its normally $40 to $60.
I ordered one, been waiting for the price to drop.

https://www.target.com/s?searchTerm=nerf+hera

Walmart has it for $33.09 too

My recommendation is going with a bigger gun. Loading these is not horrible but I prefer the ones with the Hoppers so you can load up to 200 rounds with ease :-) I paid 60 bucks for the Gatling gun model around Christmas time which came with the battery. I also have the 100 round and 40 round versions.

I can see your point on the limited ammo capacity. I have the Khaos, Nemesis and the Prometheus and was looking for a more smaller compact gun. Really one my younger kids could handle, figured this will work.

Yes, it's true that this blaster can't keep up with a Nemesis or other high-capacity, fast-firing blasters. However, the Hera can make household battles more interesting when most other players have basic springer blasters. I bought a bunch of Rival blasters around Christmas for the family, and we generally only use the springers since my wife's Nemesis is so overpowering. So now my wife uses a Hades, and I use the Hera. It adds just enough firepower to not render the springers obsolete, and it keeps the kids on their toes. I'd highly recommend it, especially for this price.

Edit - Definitely pick up some extra magazines for the Hera for optimal fun-having. I saw them recently for $6.49 from Target, which is a solid price. I'd get at least 2 extras.

Edit 2 - The Nerf rechargeable battery packs are also on sale at Amazon for ~$16. Definitely get one so you don't need to go through the expense and bulk of batteries.

I have four Helios blasters I got last Christmas for the kids and a bunch of extra magazines. Would getting this thing vs the Helios be over powered? I think its a little stronger, but I dont think that it should be way op.
