In the audiophile world, these speakers barely qualify as entry level. There are plenty of people who spend more than that on a single speaker. Spending 4k on a subs alone is not unrealistic. Everyone has different priorities, wants, desires. Personally I spent $6000 on my home espresso machine, but feel that spending over $100 on headphones is a waste. There are people who buy $2000 headphones buy think a $100 watch is expensive. There are people who spend $15,000 on a watch, but refuse to spend more than $200 on a camera. There are people who will spend $5,000 on a camera lens, but think a $150 soundbar is sufficient.

Best to worry about your spending and less about what other people decide to spend their money on.

Way over that personally. I can afford the stuff I have because I am a SlickDeals user.

No one would question if you spent $3200 on a car that made you happy. Why would the logic be any different on a speaker system that arguably provides the owner more comfortable daily satisfaction than a car? I have close to 20k in my home theater. People think I'm crazy if i say that, but nobody would bat an eye if I had a $20k project car. Instead I drive a 2006 and 2002 vehicle.

My home theater setup arguably has better resale and significantly less risk on my investment than a similar priced car.

Need the bundle without the receiver. Currently the bundle without receiver is showing at $2499, $2100 is my price point based on previous sales.

Also, this bundle was $2799 back in July of last year with a possibly better receiver, the Yamaha RX-A3070. Hoping to see similar process again soon.

I would never say something like that to you... that you should jump of a $3199 deal as it's expensive and so on... I am not like that, but here is what i'll say.. if you're in the market for this system, and this receiver is very good, from the differences I know online, it's 99% same as a-2080, this is a pretty strong deal.

will u see speakers alone for same price as last summer, 99.99% never gonna happen... but again, that's my personal view Smilie

I have the 704c that I bought a week ago. Going to be returning it tomorrow. Unfortunately it's not the right speaker for me cause I don't have an amp and my onkyo 676 is not the right receiver for it. I have Polk S15s as my front L and R. I am switching to something from the same series on the front.

I'm legitimately curious, can anyone on here realistically afford to buy something like this? Seriously, does/can anyone on here actually spend $3,200 for some speakers and receiver?
I could but would I?? Not particularly though I was tempted until read the comments.

For those remodeling a in home theater system in their basement for example, 3K isn't THAT much. I know a number of people who spent more for 2 channels let alone 5.

Then again those with much higher budgets would probably not buy Polk anyways.

Sure, but at this price point I'd be looking at internet direct companies and not Polk. Ascend, Chane, SVS, PSA, Emotiva, etc.

Absolutely. Will they buy this bundle, maybe not, but blowing 5k-10k on a home theater setup is realistic.
