I paid $60 for the non-pro version November 2015, not sure on all of the differences (2 ch vs 7.1 being one difference?), but it came with an adapter to split mic and headphone. The mute is a soft mute, seems like it can still pick up some audio. Very comfortable headset, good for all-day wear, 50mm drivers provide respectable audio. The cord on the non-pro feels a smidge short and coated in a slightly tacky rubber compound that I wish was braided or less sticky (I would assume this one is similar), but at least the volume and mute are on the headset, unlike their older Vengeance 1300 model that was mid-cord and ALWAYS catches on your desk. Pads on this one also appear to be non-vinyl covered ones - a nice upgrade from the 1300s that were vinyl-covered and eventually falls off in small pieces. I've been very happy with my purchase of Void headset, and still feel like near-new condition after 2.5 years of use. Corsair headsets tend to fit well on large heads.

For a keyboard I can see why that would be kinda important. But for headphones I would pay money to not have any RGB. Just me though now I'm getting a bit older.

Bought these from Wal-Mart few months ago for $19. Sound is decent. Love that it uses a phone headphone jack so it works with consoles and includes a usb adapter. Not sure if its worth $50 tho.

Looks like amazon just matched the $50 price for both the RGB and non-RGB models, as well as the red and USB versions. The wireless model is $80, down from $100.

In all seriousness, what does rgb do for gaming? Provide mood lighting or something?

Yes. The rofiles that some people create in iCUE look awesome. Whether or not RGB is worth it or not is up to the individual user. Personally, I love all the colors that my system has now.

If you're streaming, this can help with the visuals

This gets bashed for its poor quality all the time yet $50 is still a deal? Like FP deal?
