Be aware: you can't connect this to a PC (to sync w/itunes or to charge the pad) unless your PC has a USB-C port. or you own/buy an adapter dongle or cable.
Won't a regular A to C cable work?

Just curious why this isn't more popular when it's a pretty big discount off the standard price and two other posts for the same price received significantly higher scores. Did this post just slip through the cracks or is there a reason?

When talking PC's, Yes, really. PC makers still have not fully embraced the USB-C "standard". Even when installed, it can be a headache with compatibility:

eh?
that article is a trainwreck.

USB C is a connector type. It can have many features or be very basic. At the worst it's a USB 2.0 port utilizing the USB C connector; at the best it's a Thunderbolt 3 port.
This ipad is fine with any USB C port. It might charge super slow with a basic port.
The only problem is poor advertising of features and poor implementation by smaller manufacturers (all those junk cables on Amazon).

But I would say most PCs have USB C ports now. The last 3 computers I've bought all have one. I just got a laptop and it's got 2 thunderbolt ports.
