Don't get cheap off-brand tires. You will regret it. Pay now or pay later.

When I bought my last car from CarMax, they put on new tires -- top of the line for a Chinese brand, about $70 each. While it had good UTQG ratings, in reality I was slipping all over the place in wet conditions (especially from stop if my tires are on paint). Had to replace them less than 9mos in. Never again.

I just did a little research on Michelin lines. They are all great tires, so everything below is just relative to each other. Any of below will be much better than cheapo tires.

Premier A/S: The default option for everyone. Great traction, wet breaking, longevity. This is for you safety/traction is your biggest concern. If you don't want to think about it too much just get this one.

Energy Saver A/S: Firmer material to reduce rolling resistance (1-2 mpg improvement), may save you money in the long run, but at expense of less traction and longevity. Used to be the cheapest option but now the most expensive. This is for you if gas mileage is your biggest concern.

Defender T+H: Similar to the Premier A/S except made with a material that extends longevity way beyond what is normal (blows everyone out of the water). However, slightly less wet traction and comfort than Premier. This is for you if you really want long lasting tires. Currently cheaper than Premier A/S.

Pilot Sport: For those who like to push their car's limits at the tracks.

I ended up choosing Premier A/S because the safety of my family is my highest priority.

This is, currently, the second best deal. The best Costco tire deal would be the $70 + 25% back which happened on Jan. 1st. So, I am not sure when they are gonna run this deal but I would wait (but not too long though since tires are important for safety) to see if it will pop up. If not, then go for this deal when it (inevitably) pops back up at the beginning of every month.

Thanks, I may have to order some.

I ordered a set during the January sale, but DHL seems to have lost them on their way to my local warehouse.

Good old DHL... Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

People didn't believe that the deal that runs at the beginning of every month was coming back in a month?

Can you only do 1 set of tires to do the discount? Tried ordering 2 sets and only 1 discount showing up.

Did this last month, nice deal on a set of Pilot Sports A/S. It's also the first time the installer(including Sams, Discount Tire) didn't keep the original metal valve stem caps that came with the car, didn't notice until a few days later, ugh.

I have the same car. Looks like they don't have that tire size in stock.
