** See below - however my invoice included with shipment doesn't show a serial number. **

FOLKS! Please check your box serial matches your invoice serial. I received a unit and it does not not match my invoice! I will have to call B&H for correction. Else Canon can easily VOID your $250 rebate!!!!

Yes, it's disgusting. Especially when you can just refill for much cheaper. It's a false savings at the expense of the poor that have to sift through mountains of "recycled" electronics in third world countries.
And that's if these people are really recycling them which I truly doubt since it costs an extra $10 or $20 at time of drop off in most of the country.

You have the option to fill out the rebate by hand or partially fill it out online. Do the fill out online option. It's neater and simpler.

You are asked for the promo id when you do the online form. It's on the pdf at the mailing address to send your envelope for the rebate. This rebate is Promotion ID: 8191506

The online form will ask you for the serial number of the printer which is on the side of the box.

While you are filling out the form online it will ask you which rebate you are applying for. Some are similar and make sure to select the correct option.

After you finish the online form you print it out. Then mail that, the UPC and online receipt or invoice.

The UPC on the side of the box and you need to fully cut through the box. It's not asked but the serial number is close and I also cut that out with the UPC in one piece.

Then make sure you copy everything before you mail it out. The UPC with the thick piece of cardboard makes mailing a little clumsy. But I can get it in a #10 envelope and need to use 2 stamps.

Have you found a good way to get rid of the carcass once the ink and printhead are gone? I hate to just trash it all.

Nope. I take it to recycling each time.

Not likely, with that Supreme Court decision they are all charging sales tax now.

I used to be able to sell it and the paper for 20....cant anymore so take it to recycle center. I don't need them taking up space in my home.

I wanted to do another one but was spooked by the "1 per household". You've had no problems ordering at different times for rebates? If so, then I'll probably hop on this Smilie Last time I thought I got the Luster paper but I got semi-gloss .....

Just got the rebate from the December rebate. Guess I'm in for #4.

no way to do split payment? I need to use that $250 haha.

edit: guess I can pay some via paypal balance and the rest with the rebate card.

i always dump my rebate card on my car insurance (USAA) or on my electricity bill. Things that are always accumulating a balance - mostly because in the event you need to return an item or get a refund, it's a pain to track and keep the prepaid card.
