I'd avoid this website. I just bought a Sony a6000 open box last week. It came with dead pixels in the viewfinder. The reurn process is not easy. Check this website on BBB, it's not good. So I'd say it's a gamble. But, maybe others have had good experiences. I'd like to hear.

I was thinking of getting one of these, to replace a D3300 Nikon with a 35/1.8 lens. My main consideration is weight. Does this make sense? Can anyone with more experience help me make a decision? Thanks!

I bought an open box 6500 from them. It only had 30 shutter clicks and looked brand new.

The D3300 is a very small DSLR, and does HD video just like the Sony. Weight is 344 versus 460 grams. The D3300 image quality is at least as good as the Sony. You're not gaining much. I fail to see much benefit unless you really like the Sony's electronic viewfinder. I'd recommend you keep the Nikon for now, or upgrade to something with upgraded features such as IBIS and/or 4K video. If you're buying it for the lenses, that isn't a great reason to upgrade since nikon has lots of great lens options, like the compact AF-P 70-300 VR f4.5-5.6 for $150 (used).

I have this camera and have taken it all around the world taking pictures, around my neck all day, weight is a non issue. I bought my wife the same camera so we could shoot together as a hobby, sometimes I carry both with different lenses, again weight is a non issue. Love this camera.

Same here, but just North America and not the world.
