I happen to fall in the category of a 200 pound guy going for a 3 plate bench, so this wouldn't work for me, but I wouldn't expect a $30 bench to accommodate big weight (nor am I in the market since I already have a solid bench). Folks going heavy shouldn't cut corners on equipment.

This will work for 99% of home exercisers. If you're in the 1%, you already know to look elsewhere. I just like seeing fitness equipment make front page! Good find, op. Repped.

This is a good bench for a dumbbell workout, especially in limited space.

Won't hold much laundry though

Unless you are benching heavy, it should be fine.

460 - 150 body weight is 310 in weights (benching over twice your weight)
460 - 200 body weight is 260 in weights (at least 107 on each side plus bar) (still not doable by most weighing 200)

In terms of size, not sure.

For a 200# guy working toward a 300# bench (not unrealistic), it might push the limits. But the ratings on most things are usually well below the point where they actually break.

Plus in a good bench effort, your feet are planted and taking some of your
bodyweight, so it's not 100% on the bench.

I wouldn't hesitate. A couple plates under it and you can do a slight incline or decline. Unofficially, or course.

A bit short, yeah. Good benches are usually 4ft/48in long, not 40, but it's $30 so hard to complain.

Not sure of the width of the pad, though. 18.75in has to be the feet, not the pad itself.

I've got an old 14" x 55" Nautilus adjustable bench. The vinyl is perfect, but the pad is shot. Anyone know where I can get a new pad? Looks like it used to be 2" thick.

Fabric stores — just bring the old one in for matching and sizing.
