Is this AP better than the PRO? And what are the pros and cons vs the PRO?

I have two nanoHD's and one AC-PRO. I definitely think the nanoHD's are better access points and have better world throughput if you have the right client connected to it. The AC-PRO from my understanding has better 2.4ghz coverage and throughput though so if that is important to you the AC-PRO might be the better option but if you ware wanting it for the highest throughput over 5ghz I would go nanoHD over AC-PRO. They are both however fantastic access points.

I am thinking about picking up a third nanoHD for my house and moving my AC-PRO to an outbuilding I am getting ready to build so I have good wifi coverage outside.

It depends on your use. You'll get better throughput at 5ghz and it's a 4x4 compared to 3x3 on Pro. You'll get better range on the Pro but better throughput on Nano for indoors. OR, you can go with the HD and have the best of both.

But before you invest heavily, just remember that new wifi standards should be coming out this year.

Standards or just relabeling? Looks like 802.11ax will require both new APs and new clients. If i see no improvement without new clients, wont care for years. It will be a long time before all the rokus, phones, notebooks, get replaced with post 2019 versions.

Yep. For something like wifi standards, that is definitely a case of not needing to wait for a new release to upgrade. Better to wait several years once all devices have caught up.

Right. And there is a UAP-AC-PRO-E that does not include the POE injector.

And the 2.4 GHz on the is 2x2 on the Nano HD while it is 3x3 on the Pro.

You guys would be correct, while 802.11ax is backward compatible user devices wont see ax cards for probably another 1 year on the minimum. If its anything like the AC standard that took almost 2 years before they started regularly showing up in equipment and even then they were lower speed cards. Even now AC cards are just barley getting 2x2,3x3 setups. The networking companies will put out adapters and gear for general market pretty quickly.

There's a rumor that the S10 might come with ax. But that's all rumor.

I'm going to find out if B&H will price match. I'd MUCH rather buy from B&H on principle. NewEgg can f*ck off quite frankly.

Damnit. No match from B&H this time, like they do on so many of these Ubiquiti deals! Too bad.
