Maybe next time do some research before posting BS pulled out of your arse. You don't have to look hard, just the amazon product description:

Took me less than a minute to find that.

The problem with most white noise apps is that they are just recorded loops of sounds. If you're like me, the second you hear when whatever noise you're using loops, you'll NEVER get to sleep because you sit there anticipating it. I have yet to find an app that hasn't had this problem.

OTOH, the Lectrofans generate randomized noise, so there's never a loop. Plus, even though the speaker is tiny it has a much fuller sound.

I've used floor fans, box fans, ceiling fans, marpac clones, and now Lectrofans, and by FAR, the Lectrofans are my favorite.

My $0.02.

As a Computer Engineer I have to comment here... Those are some powerful ICs in the FCC pics that are fully capable of producing completely random white/pink noise. I agree with all others here stating there is no need for analog components to avoid looping... Just have some ICs do some math and bingo! Random white noise.

I got in on the previously mentioned deal but this even slightly better. Normally goes for $15-$20 more. Great little bedtime white noise machine, can get pretty loud. Haven't used the Bluetooth option yet, but it's a nice to have feature.

So it's not an actual fan. What's the difference between this and a Bluetooth speaker?

It's got built-in white noise sounds. It does a pretty decent job and sounds a lot better than using a phone for white noise. I keep one in my travel bag for work and use it frequently in hotels. I've been pretty happy with it, and I paid more than double this price.

This is actually much better than a fan (notably Marpac Dohm https://www.amazon.com/Marpac-Cla...B07BQYMNLF) because it is much smaller, much louder and quality sound, battery supported, uses microUSB to charge from both 110v and 220v, has more sounds. A bluetooth speaker needs another device to play sound through it. This noise machine can play its sounds all on its own. I have been using it for a few years.

It is a bluetooth speaker, but also has built in memory with white noise sound files stored locally, so it can be used stand alone as well.

One reviewer said that the sounds are not looped, so that means they're generated dynamically. In theory, assuming he's correct.

The full size Lectrofan uses analog circuitry to generate non-looping white noise. The manufacturer does not state the mini has the same ability. The mini is also too small to contain the analog circuitry. FCC photos [fccid.io] showing internals of the mini confirm it. It is nothing buy a sound file saved on local storage.

Only the full size lectrofans have analog generated non-looping sound. The mini is a looped media file saved on the device.
