Actually it depends on the airline. I was just about to buy this for my summer trip, but in fact it's too big for Air France. Some airlines this will absolutely work as a carryon, but it depends on the airline. Also some are very strict with their sizing. Others won't care. I travel often, and have had to buy many different pieces due to restrictions that vary with each airline.

I'm looking for a international carryon and Air France is the most restrictive one I fly on, they are 21.7 inches and this samsonsite is 22, you think that'll get turned down for carryon if they check? Sounds like you might know better than most.

I got one from 3-Piece Samsonite for 190 last month, it's quite cheap quality, you can also check the amazon reviews, the zipper is not smooth. The price is good, but not necessary to buy a trash for cheap price.

I got the 28'' a while back for same price. Used it for one long international flight, no problem at all fully loaded with 50+ pounds. Its large and can hold a lot of stuff, may be a 26" size would be better.

Isn't $90 the normal price on eBay for the 28in ?
