Bought this last time around. Still a solid deal. It's holding up well. No complaints.

Ive been on the fence with this one everytime this comes up. I have an old fender mim I bought used on a forum for 150 a while back. While it was fun to play it just sounds bland, seems to have some fret buzz at certain points on the neck too. Wondering if I should just spring for this as its probably more playable outage the box. No clue what that mim went through and ive even suspected it was a squier and they sanded it off the headstock, its hard to tell.

If you look at this, their remarketing will track you if you're a customer or subscriber. I get an email about this "special deal" almost daily. This is a good deal, but at their regular, almost constant, price.

Come on. It's definitely not a Squire. What's surprising that a $150-$200 bass might need a pro setup, replacement pickups, and fresh strings to sound top drawer? You get what you pay for. Not a bad price to get a bass in your hands. What member of an audience ever said, "you guys would be great if your bass didn't sound fuzzy"? No one.

I'd go banjo over 5 string bass personally if you are stuck with five fingers. I know gibson and fender are dreaming of the good ol days where more 6 finger people roamed the Earth to buy guitars. And then when all those 7 finger trolls came out of their caves to play metal...finally a market for a 7 string instrument. Clearly evolution of the human hand down to 5 fingers is why these companies struggle to sell new guitars. I think the makers of these standard 4 string basses are banking on humans evolving a 4 digit hand in the near future. Quiet opposite of the evolutionary trend harp manufacturers are betting on.

its just so sad kids err i mean classicaly trained professionals like nirvana -who can barely play- have 7 and 8 strings and i, a person who NEEDS such a thing to expand my ability to hit more npm and randomly generate more complex 15 minute long songs with not a single repeating riff,, does not have those

Geddy Lee's and Chris Squire's primary basses were 4-stringers.

I don't think either one of them has gotten many complaints about their npm or musical complexity.Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
