Is this actually a good deal? Ready to pull the trigger. Only thing I've heard negative about this is 2.4GHz frequencies interfering with the connectivity. I have a def tech sound bar and subwoofer, does anyone know if I can connect them?

So from what I'm seeing, you need one hub, then all speakers can connect to that hub for sound? What about audio receiver? Don't you kinda need that as well?

I think the hub is all you need. Keep in mind a receiver largely serves to power the speakers, which isn't necessary here since each one plugs into the wall on its own.

This uses the WISA standard, which is 5GHz (https://www.techhive.com/article/...t-ces.html). I don't think your Def Tech components use WISA though.

If you got that info from the amazon reviewer, its untrue. This, is operating st the 5GHz range and doesn't interfere with the 2.4GHz.

So the bookshelf speakers are only wireless in the sense they don't have to be powered by a receiver.....but still have a wire to plug in or charge them? I was under the impression only the hub connected tp the receiver? Was hoping to be able to place some more surround speakers in some very hard to wire places.
All you need to do is plug it into the wall not run any wires

I've yet to see one for HT, but it's not a terrible idea. If the speaker itself had a sub-docking station ala Bose SoundLink Mini, etc you could just disconnect the A/C plug and plug in as needed, keeping the dock station intact entire time under speaker...

Interested but what might be the total investment for 7.2, and will it need 2 hubs at that point?

This looks ideal for me in the future, but I'll wait. Would probably get this, a center speaker, and 2 bookshelfs to make a real nice set up.
