you gonna pay for the extra number too? this whole "Existing customers must add a line" is such a dumb ruse. They told me even if i have two eligible lines (no EPPs on them) that i had to cancel one AND wait til the number is gone, then add a line with a fresh number. dumbbbbb

Thanks OP! I finally ported my dad's phone in from Tracfone. Here's how the deal broke out. I was surprised to find out (at least mine) Costco doesn't charge sales tax so that saved $165 (8.25% in Houston)

$999.99 Galaxy Note 9 (Ported Line)
$999.99 Galaxy Note 9 (Upgrade)
-$800.00 Bill Credits over 24 months
-$200.00 Costco Reward Card (phone 1)
-$200.00 Costco Reward Card (phone 2)
-$30.00 Costco Reward Card to cover activation (phone 1)
-$30.00 Costco Reward Card to cover activation (phone 2)
-$100.00 Mastercard Gift Card (new line of service for military/first responders only)

My dad is a veteran so during our conversation the rep remembered that additional rebate. Also being a vet makes it easy to get refunded your activation fee so I chatted with Verizon online and they credited me the $60 back so the Costco is profit. This is probably the best deal I've seen in a long time which is why I finally bit. Because of our military discounts we pay $34.33 per line after taxes for unlimited everything/hotspot/Canada/Mexico.

P.S. If you're picky about colors you should call ahead and see what they have. We had to settle for 2 black phones. They only carry Black, Purple and Blue. They do not offer Silver.

I am switching to Verizon and will be going on their plan for first responders. I believe I sign up in Costco then go online and submit the form? Then I can chat with them and get activation fee back and a 100 MasterCard? Also thank you for sharing that, that is awesome news. Another 160 off. The no sales tax would be the icing on the cake.

Costco in Michigan charges sales tax, I doubled checked my receipt from Black Friday sales. I got really excited about saving the sales tax. Bummer.
