I have the unlimited Kickstart $15. Says my plan is ineligible. Can anybody with a $15 or $25 Kickstart plan check if they are eligible?

$45 activation fee plus monthly charge?? Ouch!!! Better to opt for one of the two Moto FP deals.

You may be able to chat with Sprint for refund of the activation fee because the activation fee is currently waived on sprint.com. YMMV, depending on your account history with Sprint. If approved, it will show up as credit on your next billing cycle. I never have problem getting the refund on activation fee from Sprint, but I have been with Sprint for many years in good standing.

Upgrade.
I had the same problem when Sprint had the Moto Z2 force on sale few months back. Says I'm not eligible to upgrade.

I don't care about Sprint...can I just pay to activate, and use on different network? I don't want Sprint service

You have to call Sprint to switch the Kickstart line to a regular line before you can upgrade it yourself on the BB portal because the BB portal does not recognize the account credentials and plan code for existing Kickstart. After upgrade, you call Sprint again to switch back to Kickstart. Or, you can go to the BB store and let the BB employee call Sprint for you. Make sure the employee stays on the line with Sprint until the upgrade is completed so that you won't have to call Sprint again.

You can, just cancel the Sprint line within 14 days, and Sprint will refund all service charges [sprint.com] (including any monthly recurring charges, activation fee, and all associated taxes and fees). I would recommend porting out the Sprint number quietly instead of calling Sprint to cancel because Sprint employees don't like people add and cancel lines to take advantage of deal like this. Porting out the number automatically cancels the line/account.

That's a gamble that they won't screw up my $15 Kickstart plan since it's no longer available. I think I'll just pass on this deal then.

I am confused. This appears to be a better phone than the e4, which is overpriced at $64 compared to earlier at $49 from fry's.
but I do not understand this issue of activating.

if someone could please assist me in making a decision. i would seriously appreciate. my s3 is dying and i need a new daily. but I admit, i am a cheapo.

Also: in case anyone wants to know, BB has a $35 restocking fee for sprint phones.
