1080 vs 1060 is a very big difference, both in specs and in price.

I'm afraid that's not correct, a 1080 is much more comparable to a 2070 in laptops.

I just bought a 15.6 ASUS SCAR II with 2070 and 16GB-2666, 500GB PCI NVME SSD, i7-8750H for $1,699 at Microcenter. I never use my laptop screen as I plug it in to a 43" 4K Monitor. I haven't opened it yet, wanted to get opinions before I do open and use it. Should I wait for the 9th gen intel cpu?
