Better deal than the $600 Best Buy Ryzen 2700U deal that is getting lots of attention, refurb or not. Add a cheap $35 m.2 drive. Installation appears pretty easy with detailed instructions on youtube.

Either you are joking or you are an eBay seller, the latter is most likely.

Best Buy deal is new, comes with 256GB SSD pre-installed, IPS screen versus VA junk panel, better integrated graphics. CPUs are comparable in benchmark tests.
IPS screen alone is worth at least $100.
You get what you pay for.

I got one last year. I avoided Dell and HP laptop for years due to cheap quality issue. But I gave it a try by purchasing Dell 5570 last May for my wife. My wife used it once or twice a month, then this piece of shit wouldn't turn on last week. I tried removing all batteries, ssd, ram, wifi, fan, and all fails. I regretted for buying Dell laptop, though Acet is worse. There's a reason why they only honor 1 year warranty. It's because their laptop, including 5000/7000 series were shitty. I'm not going for Dell laptop anymore.

Refurbished. So it comes with a keylogger to steal your passwords and other private info. Pass.

The benchmarks are pretty clearly in favor of the i7. Some people buy computers based on how they crunch numbers, some people buy computers based on what they look like. To each his own.

10% difference is not "clearly", sorry.
