Reviews on Lowe's are just brutal. Apparently this thing shreds sanding belts like Enron shredded docs, I'd avoid this one even at a compelling price.

You can delete the Amazon free ship minimum, because this item is "Exclusively for Prime members."

It's not a great quality sander, but the price for it is great and it's probably good enough to get the job done.

If you want anything done right with a belt sander, you should not depend on this. Maybe okay for a small sanding job for a non critical project.

For a good cheap belt sander that does a good job, the Ridgid one has a lifetime warranty and does a pretty great job on a budget.

Any clue how well it'd work for basic building like a coffee table or end tables?

Yeah, not the best but luckily mine has held up for the past 4-5 years. I rarely use it but it still works well. Good for the weekend warrior for basic tasks.

I read a lot of negative reviews about this belt sander that it shreds up the belts and sands off even causes a big mess with uneven surface. I stopped after 4 reviews because there's a bunch of negative one reviews just letting everyone know .

Got one from Lowes with free shipping and military discount. Does not look to be the best sander out there but for 23$ should get the job done.

Good deal and thanks for posting. Not sure how this made it to the FP but this is a repost of the non-FP not too long ago.
