They really messed up not having local multiplayer. Each player must have a copy of the game and a switch in order to play against one another.

Correct. Only reason I won't be getting into this game.

Whoa thanks for that information. That sadly makes this a deal breaker.

The reason they didn't include that is because they would have to drop it to 30fps, and it would stink like that. It's all about the online play.

Good thing is that Switch games don't suffer the scratched disc issues like Xbox and PS4. YMMV.
Good thing for the price of Switch games you can get four PS4 games that have only been out for 3 months.

How do you figure? The game size is only 3.2gb. That's small. They didn't include it because most games don't have local multiplayer now.

I haven't wrapped my head around how PS4 and XBox games can drop in price so quick. Only reason why I didn't use my Gamestop B2G1 coupon on Red Ded Redemption 2 for Xbox.

Only way I got it under $39 was through renewing my Gamestop Pro Membership before X-mas and getting a Buy 2 Used Games get one free plus 10% off used games, so I was able to pick up Legend of Zelda BOTW, Splatoon 2, and Pokemon Go for $98.98 plus tax for 3 used switch games. Good thing is that Switch games don't suffer the scratched disc issues like Xbox and PS4. YMMV.
I fully agree, I don't get why they're still using disks. Honestly, go to some type of memory card, maybe not proprietary.

If it's on a regular SD card, wouldn't pirate be rampart if you can just copy from one card to another. Probably why Nintendo went with their own proprietary card. Which makes the physical games that more expensive.

It's upsetting, because I have no less than five games in a pile that I have yet to open.

Sounds like the next Xbox may be streaming only, where you can only purchase games from the online store and then download them to your console. So no internet = tough luck.

I feel like that would be a horrible idea. Not that I've ever been a huge fan of the X Box brand, but that wouldn't entice me to consider them.

I wish they would patch in local multiplayer. Maybe when Nintendo realizes people won't pay for their online service to play, which should be free since they don't have dedicated servers, they will change their tune.
