Those are a dime a dozen nowadays - OP version supports QuickCharge, which can make a big difference when time in the car is short.

No it doesn't. As I previously commented, this is not a QC 3.0 charger. It's a 'Fast Charge 3.0' which means absolutely nothing and is meant to deceive people in to thinking it's QC 3.0.

QC provides adaptive fast charging, this does not.

I cancelled my order immediately after realizing the ruse.

I ordered this exact one the last time it was posted (at nearly twice the price, *sigh*). It quick-charges my Moto just fine. That's why it's 36W: 7.5Vx2.4A=18W per port.

You obviously don't understand what Quick Charge 3.0 is or does (or what you're missing if think this is quick).

Nope, you're absolutely right - I know nothing. Those numbers just came to me in a dream and I just knew to write them here.

My phone is QC2, not QC3 - nonetheless it "Turbo-Charged" (as Lenovo-Moto brands QC) at the numbers I specified. That's QC, which is definitely faster than what you were implying. Sorry I didn't have a QC3 device to confirm that level, but if it does QC2 then I have little reason to doubt their QC3 claim.

Still not getting it.

QC 2.0 uses 5v, 9v, and 12v in specifically stepped cycles depending on the charge status of the battery so the 7.5v you think you're getting isn't even QC 2.0.

Getting back to where this started: the entire point is that this does not provide QC 3.0, and that's how the OP title advertised it.

The manufacturer advertises it as 'Fast Charge 3.0' which is no recognized standard for anything and means nothing.

You're getting the same amount of charge as you do with any 5v 2.4a capable charger.

I'm going by a cheapo USB VA meter, so that might be the issue. Regardless, it's significantly faster than my 2A non-QC chargers. I'm no EE and this don't have the proper equipment on hand to test this. Therefore I am not going to bother debating this further. I'm just relating my experience and you can do with it what you will.

Not arguing because I'm out of my depth.

I see their "fast charge" claim, but later they use "Quick Charge" term without qualifying it with Qualcomm repeatedly.

For example: "Our 36W car charger has dual USB ports, both equipped with Quick Charge 3.0 and 2.4A Smart Charge Chipset."

Are you suggesting the Chinese would attempt to confuse me? Lol. Guess I have a couple door stops on their way.

Mine arrived today. Can you translate the markings on it for me? Are these the proper markings for a QC2 or QC3 or do they indicate something else?

According to your photo, it *claimed* both ports output 3.6v to 6.5v at 3A / 6.5v to 9v at 2A and 9v to 12v at 1.5A
QC2 should have fixed 5v/9v/12v voltage while QC3 can provide variable voltage. The markings are consistent with their claim of QC3 from the photo.
