You just wasted $19 on a fake card I think
My thought exactly. Never buy memory cards from anyone but the big stores.

Word of warning, I've ordered literally 10 select cards from Amazon over the past month, all were fake, all were directly from Amazon.

I put them in my switch and they read as 238GB ( I got 256 model), but when formatted via rufus or h2test not a single one held over 27GB.

TEST YOUR CARDS. I paid $55+ for fakes and still don't have a real one. These will function as legit cards but will erase information as it writes and you won't know until it's too late.

238 vs 27, really? Most fake ones these days are not about capacity. It's the speed.

Lots of fake EVO Plus cards out there. I have yet to see a fake EVO Select
Give it time, but that's why I bought these over the plus. 2/2 tested as genuine. Bought direct from amazon (not third party).

Wow, so many people in here that think buying from Amazon instead of a 3rd party seller protects them. Amazon combines stock from all sources in the warehouse. You can still get a fake ordering from Amazon directly.

Buying directly from Amazon does give you better protection than from 3rd party sellers. Yes, you may still get fake products buying from Amazon, however in case you do, Amazon will take care of you. Their return process is super easy. Amazon is not in the business of selling fakes deliberately, whereas unscrupulous 3rd party sellers are. My advice: if you must buy from a 3rd party seller because their price is too good, at least pick one that's "fulfilled by Amazon" because the return process is handled by Amazon (hassle free), not by the seller.

I think it is safe to assume that all 3rd party offers are fakes. EVO Select is Amazon exclusive model. From where 3rd party sellers are getting their supplies? From Amazon itself?
While I agree that there might be a lot of 3rd party sellers of EVO Plus, as this brand is available by many, many retailers.
I feel you. But I also believe Amazon doesn't do QA on products being brought into their warehouse to determine authenticity; water filters, etc.. They've gotten way to big for their britches and can afford the occasional shipping of fakes to unsuspecting customers who don't know better. I mean really, who doesn't just purchase and plug n play stuff like this? 30 days isn't a lot of time to determine whether it'll hold up or not for a return/refund. Guess my point is you never know who to trust anymore. Perhaps it's cynical on my part. 🤷 ♂️

the card says MLC nand. is this good for surveillance use? any reason the samsung endurance card would be better?
I want to say yes, because MLC is more durable then the more common TLC that is used in SD cards.

https://carcamcentral.com/guide/r...ltra-cards

snippet:
TLC cards can overwrite itself 500 times before experiencing failures, a MLC card between 1500 to 3000 times.
MLC cards have a 3-6X increase in durability.
