The cheapest I've seen this drive. I don't know how long the deal will last, but get them while you can.

I'm waiting for the 10TB at that price in a few years. Until then, I'm writing down all my files on paper

There are better drives out there for the same price. Check Microcenter. Crucial, as usual, knocks it out of the park in terms of quality and deep queue / io performance. Look at the MX500 before looking at this.

I would read the reviews before jumping on this. You may want to spend a little more to get something better unless you are only looking to use this for storage purposes.

It's a decent SSD, I have a few SanDisk drives and they've lasted years. This particular drive is not very fast but still better than a typical spinning drive.

I have upgraded many systems with this SSD at the tech company I work at. They are very reliable. We just bought 2 of the 480GB model and 3 of the 240GB model.

According to this review https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...833-8.html the 480 GB model "ships with the same Marvell 88SS1074 "Dean" controller found in the SanDisk X400. The controller comes paired with SanDisk MLC NAND and a Nanya DDR3 package." It is not DRAMless.

I wonder if it comes with nCache, the second tier non-volatile flash write cache between DRAM and the MLC NAND flash like the X110 series...

It was 57 bucks just a week or so ago. I should have bought it then! Will wait for the price to come back down again. Seems like Samsung ranks first then Crucial then Intel.
