Kids who love Fortnite definitely want to sit and play monopoly for 2 hours.

I took a quick survey of 3 kids that play it religiously, all 3 laughed and said they wouldn't be interested. This product seems like a money grab to take advantage of people who don't know better that are looking for a gift.

Maybe it might help reduce screen time and get kids interested in a traditional board game for family game night once in awhile. Smilie Looks like the game is a bit different compared to regular Monopoly. I agree, it can be a challenge competing w/ all technology kids grow up with nowadays.

Here's a Youtube video showing the game play.

If you limit their screen time, then this may become more appealing to them.

Monopoly has just been a money grab for decades now. They literally have over 1,100 versions of the game (according to Monopoly Wiki). Just slap a new background on it, maybe change a rule or two, and bank on dumb/trendy consumers snatching it up for novelty reasons.

That being said though, I do believe that limiting screen time and replacing it with any sort of family activity is paramount. Of course if a child is given the option of playing any online video game vs playing a board game, they're going to choose the former as they get FAR more dopamine hits from it. That's why parents need to actually start parenting a little more and stop having all these gadgets be their babysitters while they get their dopamine hits from their cell phones, FB, etc.

Do you have to do an Emote if someone lands on a property you own with a hotel? :-)

Never seen the fortnite addition, for $10 I'm in, might get my kids to play a real game (away from the computer).

I own like 4 different monopoly variants. Besides the design and artwork, the whole game pretty much plays the same.

Had cousins over at New Years. About 4 Fortnite addicted kids sat around and played this for several hours. Ages 8-15. They all seemed to enjoy it.

Actually it's not, kids that play fortnite "religiously" do love this board game. It's different and it depends who they are playing with I guess. But the kids in my family enjoy it.
