What do you mean by 'redundantly backed up?' If a drive fails, how do you go about recovering data on the failed drive?
A redundant raid setup. Automatic duplication of information

Over the years I've heard issues with 3GB drives. Would this have any issues since it's 6 (2x3?)
What have you heard? I have a 3TB attached to my pvr/tuner for the past 4 years, so far no problems.

Fun fact: If you use the disable command, then it actually sets it to 60 minutes. But if you use all 9s to max out the timer like 99999999999999, then it actually disables it. WD are scammers and the fact that you have to disable head parking (with an extra trick no less), so the drive doesn't die within 2 yrs is proof (6-12 mo on use cases that rack em up into the hundreds of thousands quickly).

And I will still buy it any day over crapgate.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll throw it back on and set it for all 9's. ditto on crapgate

So these 6TBs have blues in them while the 8TBs and 10TBs have whites or reds?
