My total came out to 29.28 after tax, in-store pickup, and rebate.

My assumption has always been because they are hoping people will buy it and not complete them.

This is not even a Thermaltake for Fry's MIR. It's been outsourced which means they will make your life as hard as possible. I have given up on MIR and don't even factor it in. I seldom end up getting MIRs back especially from third parties like Rebateaccess.com that is handling this one. Killed it for me.

Because no matter how much documentation you send in, they reject it.

It does not. Both use proprietary controllers and cable inputs. I happen to have both in my case at the moment. Im actually returning my corsair fans and switching to thermaltake. I'm currently using the Thermaltake RIING plus fans and one thing I like about thermal take is its just one cable. I really hate that you have two cables on the corsairs, one for power and one for usb.

As for this particular deal I've decided to pass. I prefer the look of the RIING Plus fans. The pure fans are similar to corsair LL120s in that they give kind of vague areas of light blended into the fans. The RIING Plus just gives you these monstrously bright distinct single threaded LEDS. Its probably worth your time to go look on youtube, thermaltake has them side by side. These fans are cheaper but for a reason. Some people might prefer the blended less bright fans though.
