Would love to see a deal like bundle 2 without the receiver. I've been wanting to try these speakers in my main living room since they look so different.

Please show me as this is what I see:
s60 $399 each x 2 = $798
s35 $244
s20 pair = $239
Which totals ~$1281 without the receiver... Am I missing something?
obviously the adorama package is cheaper if you're looking for an all in one package with the yamaha receiver. but if you already have a receiver and only want speakers, then you can try them and as i said try with the 10% off coupon to save more.
you can probably get the adorama package and flip the yamaha receiver if you already have one.
I just did an eBay check.... quickly so don't shoot me.
I saw s60's at $245 new each = $490
s35 at $239
s20 at $214 pair
So the speaker set is approx $490 + $239 + $214 = $943.... whenever the next eBlay 15% off coupon hits it might be a decent option.... and less than $800 for speakers
I have no opinion on the receiver or speakers... was looking at those Denon deals at Frys but haven't/couldn't pull the trigger

no worries. just trying to help. also S20 is a big bookshelf speaker. if you're planning to use them as surrounds, S15 or S10 is more than adequate. S15 might be big too if you are mounting it up high on your wall. depending on the size of your room, if you want to save more, consider S55 too. otherwise, S60 is a really good speaker.

I wouldn't mind just getting the receiver. Too bad they couldn't ship the receiver to my place and ship the speakers to you.
Between two setups in my house, I have a pair of s60's, s20's, s15's, s10's, an s35, and an s30. They sound great and I love the look. But I second that the s20's should not be used as a surround, not that they can't, but they are enormous.
Just a general movie room question. I always wonder if bookshelf speakers are fine for surrounds for the up fronts. Those tower speakers are like twice the price compared to bookshelf speakers. And doesn't most of a movie's talking come out of the center anyway?
