I have a lot of Marmot stuff and I bought a down Marmot jacket this winter and it's very warm and nice but it losses a lot more feathers then other down jackets I have had. I mean sometimes it's embarrassing everywhere you go to have down feathers flying out of your coat!

Good stuff, but I would not pay full price. Got a nice pull over sweater/fleece. It's pills a lot for the money I paid. Just as good as TNF or Patagonia. But dollar for dollar I find I get more from my money at llbean or Eddie Bauer.

So looking for some honest opinion here, how does everyone thought about marmot ? I bought one from rei sale for my dad, and I am worried if the down jacket is not holding up, I saw review said feather stick out

All down jackets lose down over time

They are my favorites when it comes to jackets (down, fleece, rain, etc.). I have jackets from Marmot, NF, Pantagonia, Mountain Hardware, Columbia, etc. Marmot is my favorite. You get what you pay for, their higher end line obviously has better quality.

I tried a marmot down jacket on in a store and wasn't impressed. I did get down sleeping bag though and it worked great on a trip.

The sale last year was better. Having said that all the stuff I got was great during the snow. I need pants but man they are pricey.
