Just say no to a manufacturer who takes the cheap way out with a stamped steel shoe and then hypes it as if it's good thing. Nope, none of that cast aluminum or magnesium in this saw, it's all "heavy duty steel"! LOL

It's sad how cheap Porter Cable has become since being bought out by Stanley Black&Decker. I'm never giving up my good old Porter Cable 743. That's when they did it right (or left, as the case may be).

If you like magnesium bases, the PCE310 is also marked down on Amazon. It's $42. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NAYK93R

How common are outlets with breakers < 15 amp rated? What else is on the circuit is equally important. Maybe what you really meant is: do what you can to be on a 20 amp breaker circuit.

Slick dealers a heads up. Just make sure the outlet you're working on is 15 amp. I pop a lot of breakers with this thing

I learned a lot about tools as a whole after spending 2018 building up a new collection.

The one very important thing I learned is when it comes to circular saws, the vast majority of users for the vast majority of time will have it at a right angle, 90 degrees. Most consumers will use it here and there, but not as a primary tool.

The biggest difference you'll see from this compared to a nice new DeWalt XR is the break and the fact it's cordless.. and yeah probably more power but it's a safe best the vast majority of home buyers would never know a difference unless they used them side by side.

So if you're wanting to save so money so you can invest in tools where those high dollars really count - this certainly isn't a bad option, in fact it has really great reviews.

Tip: Replace included blade Diablo blade by Freud
(except for rough cuts, just use whatever blade for that)

How common are outlets with breakers < 15 amp rated? What else is on the circuit is equally important. Maybe what you really meant is: do what you can to be on a 20 amp breaker circuit.

I finally installed a dedicated 20A in my garage after battling using a table saw and dust collection on the same breaker. Of course it helped that my panel is also in the garage.

A little common especially if ur cheap. Lol. Like me. I replaced most of mine when I bought my house with the 30 cent Walmart specials. They are only 12 amp I believe.

I also bought the Slickdeals Ryobi garage door opener. I got the extension cord attachment to. Believe it or not that damn things only 10 amps.

Do detailers use orbital sanders or some fancy custom detailing tool from the same factory ?
