Was looking for the latest maglite offerings and ran across this on their outlet. Decent deal if you order over $50 worth. After tax, I bought 4 Pro+ for $16.38 each shipped to me. Plan to give away as gifts or throw into car for backup.

Pro+ has 245 lumens and two settings low (27h runtime) and high (2h 15m runtime). No switch, turn to power on and beam focus. Also has "candle mode" where the head is completely removed and inserted into base. Youtube Video Review / Demo [youtube.com]

Both links for Pro+ are showing as bad -- so those deals appear dead. The $12 mini-maglites deal you also posted is not good at all! That light is only 77 lumens and takes two AA batteries -- instead you can spend just $10 (including shipping) and get a quality smaller flashlight that is twice as bright and includes a rechargable li-ion battery: https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/12732421

Sorry I updated the links so they work correctly.

Yes I realize there are flashlights that have better specs, but this is for specifically those people looking for the lowest price on Maglites. There is also a very cool "candle" feature on these that put out radiant light. Check it out here [youtu.be] .

I grew up in the 90s and these are classic designs with updated light output. Another bonus is that they are made in USA. Not for everyone.

I'm a bit older than you and used to do lots of camping -- so I understand the nostalgia with minimags. I have 3-4 of them myself as well as a few big D-battery maglites. All of my old mags have been retrofitted to LED, but when I've shopped for lights in the last decade+ I haven't bought maglites. There just really isn't any reason to pay the high premium for them anymore. There are options from US companies (like the one I linked above) that sell quality flashlights that offer a lot more performance for less money. I guess if someone is absolutely dead set on getting a minimag the Pro+ deals are decent, but I think the regular minimag can be found for less.
