Hmm.. this or Vivotek GN27DB? https://www.amazon.com/d/Monitors...B078P57ZWL

Vivotek's uses a Samsung VA panel. Worried about the TN panel in OP. Currently on a U2717h IPS 60hz. Planing on using the monitor with an Nvidia card.

Wouldn't mind paying a bit more if worth it.

Depends on what your doing with it. The VA will have better colors but slightly more input lag.

Ive been curious about this monitor as well. I tried the Dell monitor in the OP but returned it because the viewing angles werent good for me (i lean back in my chair and type a lot, and the top of the monitor was noticeably darker than the bottom when i did that). My current monitor is also a TN but i think since its only 21 inches the viewing angle issue isnt as pronounced. Anyway, the VA panel you posted might be better, viewing angle wise, but not as good as IPS, correct? Wondering if the middle-ground solution would be sufficient for my needs...

Thanks for the feedback. I'm currently on an IPS display and do a fair deal of video editing. Bad viewing angles, would be a problem.

Gonna take a chance on this. I don't see any possibility in the near future to get a 27" 2K 144hz in an IPS anywhere near this price range.

This is what I am holding out for. I am in no hurry, hope it hits in the next 6 months.

Not really. I mean if you must, yes, but you're better off getting an IPS or VA display for photo and video editing, more color accurate.
