Don't leave the TV on CNN, Fox News, Disney, etc type channels with a constant never changing overlay. You can watch them for hours, just turn the TV off at the end of the day. If you leave it on the same channel with an overlay for several weeks and never turn it off you can cause burn in. Burn in isn't very common and you have to really be trying to cause it. Normal TV use that you turn off at the end of the night you will have no problems.

Good price on a great TV. I have the 2017 version and love it. My kid watches nickelodeon all the time on the TV and I don't have any image retention on the corner where "nick" is. I do wish they would move the logo around to different corners periodically though. I set the energy saving to medium since the cartoons are pretty bright as it is.

2016 E6 OLED owner - main tv at home and heavy user with ZERO burn in. This conversation is getting old and people should stop worrying about burn in unless you have a still image on for days. Regular home owners should not be a concerned at all!

Pointing it out why?

it makes no difference whatsoever if you read the actual warranty.

Does anyone know why there're lots of LG OLED TV discount deals in the market recently? Is LG gonna introduce a new line up or upgraded version of it this year?

Is it worth to wait for the new one if it's a significant upgrade?

Do you play games on it? I love the inky blacks on the C8 but I don't like the idea of having to be careful or thoughtful how I use it. Oh no I fell asleep with the TV on, etc. Leaning towards the Samsung q9
