Originally bought 1 of these cameras at full price. Mounted camera outside. Yes, this indoor camera was mounted outside. Yes, no frills, but with a large SD card you get plenty of space to record days of footage. The app is ready to use. This camera even survived outdoor exposure during hurricane Irma. The camera finally succumbed to the moisture and the view was obscured by the moisture in the lense. However, let the camera dry out over a couple days and the camera was back in use and totally functional. Still in operation a year and a half later. Bought 2 more through this deal. Great option for simple, beginners, cost effective surveillance.

Bought it last time. One worked for 2 weeks, and then lost connection to the app {Android). The other one never connected to the app. Don't recommend.

Is there anyway to get this without using Facebook? I do not have a Facebook account and have no interest in getting one.

Good deal but I'm pretty sold on the Wyze 1080p cams that run $19.99.
Would you please provide link for that deal?

Wyze still lacks RTSP support(which is coming soon later this year). I bought 2 from last deals, they work great. You don't need a cloud support if you are planning to use it inside your network. For remote viewing capability, I use VPN connection to connect to home network and IPCamViewer(ios)/TinyCam(android) apps.

I bought two refurbished and they both had the code on the back
You are right I did not see it until now. The one new unit I bought has the QR code printed in the instructions.

People who put cameras in their homes for "protection" are just down right creepy people. They secretly use it to really spy on their wives or husband and to keep them away from the handy man or pool boy.
Sounds like you're either a pool boy or handyman.

I would advise against D-Link. They have a habit of dropping product support as soon as warranty is over. at this prize I still rather have one wyze cam
^^THISApplause

If on a low budget, the only way to go (Smartly and Slickly) is Wyze.

It's been the same price directly from Wyze website for a while, you just have to pay shipping and handling $5.99 and up. Maybe tax also.
