I can't play retro games. They're too ugly to look at.

You would be a rare case of someone who still games and liked PS1 enough to buy a retro PS1 20 years later, but never touched another playstation after that or doesn't own one.

Most console gamers have a playstation just simply due to numbers, sales volume.
Most? Isnt their market share 29%? Maybe my data I've seen is wrong, would you provide me with a link to where its shown they have substantial market share?

If they do a second release with Suikoden 1&2, Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears, and Vandal Hearts 1&2, I might buy it.
The first run was a complete disaster. Absolutely zero chance of them risking a second failure

Gives you the global and domestic sales for all generations. 4 of the top 5 selling consoles are all playstations (excluding handhelds where nintendo kicks their ass). I'm not saying most people have a PS4, but most have 1 of the 6 ways to play PS1 games (consoles and handhelds).

There must be tons of overstock, would it go further down to $29?
I think I saw on PattonPlays YouTube channel that a local Costco to him had it for $29.99 recently

I already bought one months ago, but if it drops a little more, I'm considering getting another to cut apart and implant a pi 3 into. Under $30 sounds about right as a case and two controllers.

Systems like this remind me why Nintendo has such timeless appeal over the years. Everyone raved about the PS from Day 1, but I always found it mediocre.

PS is still the worst controller ever made. Unless you have Trump Hands...

I love how people still complain about the price even at $40. Those people probably thumbs upping raspberry pi deals.

Youn literally copy and paste entire game libraries onto a USB drive at this point and load it up. You can also easily access many other systems via retroarch.
