Not even a remotely fair comparison. Leupolds are well worth the money over those.

Better clarity, lifetime warranty, seeing at dusk/dawn, build quality, etc.

I have some cheaper celestrons that are good on a budget. Otherwise its vortex or leupold for me.

Thanks OP. Snagged one. Was looking for entry level quality binocs, for just scoping out the view from my yard. $40 cheaper than Amazon and free shipping no CA tax.

Planning to go whale watching this summer, will this be a good bino to use?
I'm worried that the '2.5mm exit pupil' will be too dark.

Leupold riflescopes and spotting scopes are top-notch quality. Can't go wrong with these binos at this price point.

Is the image quality better than those cheap size 50 binocs in the $50 range?

I am new to this stuff, I had a pair of what I believe were expensive binoculars from my dad but I gave them back.

Whats the difference between the amazon $20 ones and these? Also price isn't really an issue for me, I just want really nice binoculars for peeping around. I live in NYC and my roof has amazing views of all of NYC and parts of NJ / LI.

I also wanted a telescope but figured I would learn with binoculars first

obligatory "asking for a friend"

Leupold is highly regarded in optics. I am positive those $20 do not compare.

Leupold is top notch, no question. If I didn't have a nice pair of Vortex binos for hunting I'd get these...

why is that though?

do any of the binoculars do optical image stabilization? that was the biggest complaint i had with the only other real pair ive used in my life (aside from toy ones)

im super curious as to why the ones on amazon don't compare, when the description says all the same buzzwords (which mean nothing to me because im so new)

and yes i do believe in you get what you pay for. but are these technically better or just probably built to a better quality
