"Specifically made for women" - wow that is sexist. What's next ? Doritos made specifically for women ?

Women have smaller ears than men.

Another generalization!. Lot of men have small ears too. Just say "made specifically for small ears".

I'm not trying to be rude but maybe ozzyadu's question was valid. Would it be stupid of you to assume that all other headphones created are specifically made for men... Since you did point it out that women's ears are smaller. Or since you have basically done this, should we assume that all headphones were actually designed for women? Maybe it'd be nice to see headphones that say specifically for men? Or I think the smart thing to do would assume that almost all other headphones are gender neutral and that design and size have already taken into consideration the difference between men's and women's ears and have been created in a middle size range to fit both genders... Which if that is the case, Ozzyadu's comment is valid.

tl;dr - These are excellent for vigorous workouts but you need the right size covers for them to be comfy.

For those who haven't heard of these, they're great earbuds for working out. They will not do justice to your losslessly compressed symphonic works - that's not what they're for. They're mainly for giving you tunes while you're in the middle of highly active exercise. In fact, imho, if you are complaining about the audio quality you're not working out hard enough. (/gatekeeping) My positive impression, while working out, is based on mostly using Westone UM3x in-ears generally and Sony MDR7506 on-ears for mixing. If you feel either of those two headsets are too inferior for your music taste, you should definitely pass on these ear buds.

My family has been through about 5-6 pairs of these in various versions. DD managed to destroy to pair in a year, though I have no idea how. In both cases she lost a channel. The first failure was replaced under warranty, the second was out of warranty and we just threw them away ($7...who cares?). I had a pair fail electrically...something happened which made the L+R channels invert and combine, resulting in only audio from the outer channels being heard and nothing that was center panned - i.e. the lead singer and most of the dialog in everything. Also replaced under warranty. My wife tried them and though they were uncomfortable - she ended up getting plantronics backbeat and loves them - I tried them an I can never get them loud enough to hear when I'm the treadmill.

As for comfort, if you get the right size silicone cover (and you're not a weirdo, like my wife) they're the most comfortable in-ears for vigorous workouts (running/cycling/aerobics/dance). Once they "lock" in place they stay there. There's enough channeling of the sound that you hear the music well, but enough lack of isolation that you can also hear your environment/surroundings. I've never had them fail or drop out due to sweat or (mild/moderate) rain. The biggest drawback is that, with a little sweat and oil, the silicone covers come off super easy. I've lost two covers just walking to my car from the gym and I almost always lose one if I pull the bud-end through my shirt after a workout (I feed the cable through the neck and out the bottom to my player to keep the cord from bouncing around or getting snagged). A less common drawbacks are that the silicone has to fit your ear or it will never be comfortable and if you try to use them with out the covers they sound awful. The covers are essentially waveguides and you'll lose all the bass and much of the volume if you don'e use them. [note: the covers are like $15 shipped, so if you lose them its cheaper to buy a new clearance headphone than get a replacement].

The "for women" means they send you a smaller set of silicone that is more likely to fit the average woman's ear. I think you get two sizes of covers - so they tend to fit the average range of women's sizes. The mens versions come with two larger (possibly overlapping the women's) sizes, but you could theoretically order any of about a half dozen different sizes for either set. And the women's come in pastel colors...because sexism, afaict.

I'm just confused as to why it's "only for women"? Could've said "designed for smaller ears" or something of the sort instead.
But they're purple. Men could never wear purple... Except for Prince, and pimps, and Joker...

Well then I guess I'm the joker, since I'm definitely not Prince, and women don't look at me long enough for me to be a Pimp... 🤷

Spray Paint does wonders. Best white, or tan, so that you can ride a bicycle or drive with both of them in.
