You had to buy a laptop to qualify. It's not like they were just handing out the Odyssey for $100.

Thumbs up for incorporating dullard.

Like I mentioned in the other Odyssey+ post, YMMV but if you try to cancel after the order is placed on the SAmsung website, there is a chance it will give you an extra 10% to not cancel and keep the order. I did this last week and was able to get it for $270 before taxes. I used the "Cheaper elsewhere(Ebay)" option and it gave me the 10% discount.

This is the best deal right now for someone wanting to get into VR for PC gaming. Such a low price for display resolution of the best headsets like the vive pro. The superior tracking of competing products are not worth the price difference unless you are specifically interested in select games or planning to use the thing 8 hours a day.

Samsung sure lowers prices mighty quickly now. I keep getting great deals on things and then not using them until after the prices drop almost down to what I paid. For this item I got it a few months back for $200, but if the new price is $300, won't be long before anyone gets it for $200. Their solid state drives go down in price lightning fast now, too, and I haven't started using them yet.
When was the Odyssey+ ever $200 new?

Anyway, $300 is a great price. I upgraded from a different WMR headset and the OLED display with anti-screen door effect and IPD adjustment wheel make for a significant upgrade over the cheaper headsets. Tracking on WMR is really not nearly as much of an issue as you might hear, and it's improved on the Odyssey+ because the Bluetooth is built into the headset itself. As long as you have a sufficient video card, this is a great VR experience at a very low cost.

Got mine from b&h..yesterday.. theres are miles better than my Lenovo. The clarity and headphones make this a worthwhile upgrade over the lenovo for 100 more

Smokin crack or confused about the OLD, original Odyssey that was on promo when it was first released. If he want's to humble brag about that, it was only $99 when it launched, but this is the + and roughly better in most metrics.

With just the two sensors it definitely isn't. With three or four maybe if you value the extra tracking, but if that's a priority than the Vive wins. I own all three and the Vive and Odyssey tie in my mind. The Rift controllers are great but all the cables ruin it for me. The Rift is a stellar pickup used though. I've snagged a few at $200.

Where? I'd be interested in trying a Rift at that price (have an Odyssey + on the way and just returned an Oculus Go).
