This is interesting this year. Almost every barcode yields a token or more, I got 55 tokens on my first 15 tickets. 80 tokens gets $5 gift card or build to a $10 for 150 tokens of $15 for 200 tokens, $20 for 240 tokens, $25 for 275 tokens. Or 30 tokens for a gas reward. Seems to be more choose your own reward type of game. Not sure yet how I feel about it.

And it looks like there aren't going to be those instant wins, or at least I haven't gotten one yet, since they have what were traditionally the instant win items for "sale" with tokens.

As in last year's game, definitely download the app. Scanning barcodes is so much easier and can keep track of the game pieces as well.

Iagree
Thanks for your post. The site is well done and easy to navigate. There is even a way to keep track of the game pieces for your Monopoly board.
We don't shop a lot at Safeway (our participating store), but I did get 30 tokens for a small amount of groceries. I've won a small prize and gotten some good coupons from this promo in the past. So we'll see how it goes in the upcoming months...

by entering the codes on the website, I won a $25 store gift card. If I read the rules right, the maximum that you can claim is $25 store gift card. I take that to mean that I can't use the rest of my points to claim a $20 store gift card.

Site seems to be down, at least for entering codes.

Been getting an error for the last 10 minutes. So much trouble for (most likely) one more token.

You won or you redeemed for the $25 gift card? You can only redeem up to $25 in grocery gift card, so if you redeemed then you would have reached that limit. If that's the case, just use for fandango/virtual visa, for up to another $15.

when I entered a code, it said that I won 275 tokens and THEY loaded a $25 store gift card to my mixx account.

Thanks for mentioning the Fandango Virtual Visa option.
So potentially, one can use 275 tokens for a $25 grocery gift card
and then use 200 more tokens for a $15 Virtual Visa.
Have you (or anyone else) done this already?

Congrats on that. You could try and see whether a grocery card is available for you to redeem. If. It, go for what you can and maybe open new account under a spouse or sibling to continue playing. That way you won't be locked out of redeeming further tokens. Just a thought.

You do still get instant winners too. I've gotten lots for 2 free tickets, and I've gotten a free bottle of water and three free bagels as well as a few Shutterfly codes. I hope I don't get any gravy mix this year. Last year I could not give it away. I live in the Chicago area, and when I was in the Wilmette Jewel on a Saturday evening recently, the cashier gave me 64 game pieces. I don't think I won a single thing other than tokens, coupons that I will never use and free game pieces
