Not only do the Hoka's vary by model, they vary by model and year. I found the Clifton 3's awesome, plenty of toe room, felt like slippers on my feet. And I'm not light on my feet... The Clifton 4's had me calling them back the minute I put them on. Felt like they stuck an arch where it didn't belong for me. They explained to me how the model changed and if I liked the Clifton 3's I should go w/ the Stinson 4 ATR. They were right.

I also have a pair of Bondi 4's and they definitely are more narrow than the Clifton's and Stinsons... but again, very cushioning.

I'm never buying another brand sneaker again... I have 4 Hoka's now.. My kids call them "my special" shoes... large cushions make me a good inch and half taller... at least now they are coloring half of the cushion the same color as the body of the shoe... looks much better than earlier version.

The Glycerin are great shoes, but Hokas are on another level in terms of comfort. They won't last nearly as long as Brooks though. I personally prefer the Clifton over Bondi.

Not necessarily true. As a female with quite wide feet and loyal Hoka customer, certain models are great for wide feet. I've personally had success with Mafates and Bondis, and my husband with narrow feet has enjoyed
Cliftons. This is not a comprehensive list and I'm not even sure if Mafates are still in production but I just wanted to caution against generalizations.

I like the overall comfort of my glycerin better but my Bondis and Cliftons have more cushion.

Also disagree (for women's shoes). Owned many pairs of Brooks and they are much more narrow than Hoka Cliftons. Hokas also have a more roomy toe box IMO.

I've been wearing Cliftons for several years, and have gone through probably 15 pairs. While they don't last long depending on your mileage, they are by far my favorite running shoe.

They are both great shoes. Each runner is different. Get fitted at a running store.

Very helpful, thank you. An older friend of mine was recommended Hoka Cliftons by her podiatrist, of course he didn't specify 3, 4, or 5. Looks like sizes on the 3's which you found comfortable are very limited around the web.

Agree that they look like "special" shoes. I wonder why Hoka doesn't get a clue and design them to appeal...

I'm angry that I ordered a pair of the Cliftons the day before the price dropped more. Has anybody here had any luck dealing with Jackrabbit's customer service and getting price adjustments?
