I've spent weeks in Xian at a time. It really depends on what kind of traveler you are. Are you a flash tourist that drives up to the Pyramids, takes a picture and checks it off the list. If so, yes, a week in Xian maybe too much. Are you are a traveler that not only goes in the Pyramids but wanders around the complex jumping into any hole you can find. If so, then 7 days in Xian is not enough.

That's not the question. The question is why do you keep believing the russian agent in the Oval Office with too much executive time on his hands? lol

Close to 4,000,000 Chinese visited the US in 2018. That's projected to rise to 6,400,000 by next year. If their government is forbidding them to travel here, then they are doing a piss poor job of it.

Xian rocks. Yes, go see the warriors if you must. But also walk the wall, all of it!, and check out the crazy light, water, dance party show mashup at the Goose Pagoda. It's insane.

Great deal, but 7 days in Xi'an is a pretty big stretch. That's a three day destination at most.

Could also do an Open Jaw and fly out from Beijing for a similar price: https://i.imgur.com/qtSBFnV.png , just need to get your own train ticket from Xi'an to Beijing. I'm sure other cities are available for open jaw too, just too lazy to check.

Good point, but the train ticket will probably cost nearly as much as this flight. It adds up.

2nd class 5hr express train is $76, but if you don't like train travel, can also just go to Beijing round trip for $406 instead https://i.imgur.com/dprodoE.png

Go to Pingyao. It's halfway between Xian and Beijing. It used to be a mandatory stop on the tourist trail when the trains were slow. Now people blow by it on the high speed trains. It's worth it. It's an intact ancient Chinese walled city. It's a world heritage site.

i've never flown them but based on others' comments over the years and skytrax rating, it's better than the US airlines such as american, united and delta.

I recommend a few days in Chengdu China for the other 3 or 4 days .... Panda Bears, Exotic Foods, Szechuan Opera, and more. High speed rail from Xian is quick and non-stop and easy and not expensive.

I would say service is about the same, but at this price, there should be no complaints. We can't all afford Biz class.
