Directions for making safe hummingbird food:
Mix 1 part sugar with 4 parts water and bring to a boil to kill any bacteria or mold present.
Cool and fill feeder.
Extra sugar water may be stored in a refrigerator.
Red dye should not be added.
The red color of the feeder itself will attract them.

Please read up on feeding hummingbirds. If you want to feed them you have to be on top of cleaning the feeder. You must drain and clean at least every few days. The sugar water turns into bacteria sitting in the sun. The birds are very sensitive to it. So when you think you are helping them by feeding them, you could be killing them if your not changing out the water!!!
I dont want to be a debby downer but its important to know this.
also when buying a feeder, the best ones are the ones that you can take apart the base to clean it. The ones with the solid bases you really cant clean the mold and bacteria out properly.
also making your own food is as easy as boiling water and adding sugar and then keep unused food refrigerated.....hope this shed some light..................

Seems like a nice deal but maybe they are nicer in person. The pic looks kind of chintzy

bought one today and they are way better than the plastic ones. Maybe not 16 dollars but for 7 bucks it was good enough for myself and the family. I was in for 2.

Well to lure them in I get the good stuff haha then once I gotten hooked I just put sugar and water. But Lowe's sells the nectar if you are lazy. Also Google does a good job of a diy nectar.

I've made my own nectar and have also bought several pre-mixed ones. My hummingbirds seem to actually prefer the Pennington ELECTRONECTAR over anything else.

Huge stock everywhere around me, these are alright for the price. I prefer the ones with the larger flowers. Hummingbirds around here are territorial so having 6-8 perches really is pointless You will never see more than one drinking at a time

I have to disagree. My Aunt has 8 of these things around her house, and during the summer especially there can be at least 2 and up to 4 drinking off one of them at the same time.

Mix 1/4 cup of sugar to 1 cup of water, bring to a boil, let cool and fill containers. I make a huge pot and fill over 20 containers😊❤
