Nikon website has refurbished lenses for few bucks more and free ground shipping. The chances of getting a brand new one is probably higher.

Wow...fast lens. I'm looking for something similar for my Canon.

I picked up the Nikkor 50mm 1.8 new for $149.99 from photovideo4less a few months ago. It drops down to that price on occasion and honestly seems more worth it than paying more for a refurb

Although it is the import version with no warranty, I did the same a while ago and I totally agree with you.

I agree also. I rather have a new one than gamble with a refurb plus most sellers offer 1 year warranty, problems usually show up sooner rather than later with lenses.

I would wait for another rakuten sale unless you need it now. I got a brand new one cheaper 2 months ago. https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/12552952

Why are they so expensive now? I remember getting from BHphoto many years ago for $87 new.

I guess you might get the D lens back then instead of the G lens here

In case anyone is wondering, unlike the "D" version that was a deal last week, this version will auto-focus on any F-mount DSLR.
