The only reason Apple made 128 GB model is so they can upsell this. This needs to be $1000 and the 128GB model needs to disappear

You wonder how much money they make for only offering 256GB SSD?

256GB probably only costs $30

Model # MVFH2LL/A is available at costco.com for $799.99. Yes, it's only 128GB but the cost difference is substantial.
