It will work, you'll be able to hear it as it gets plenty loud. The quality of the sound is another story.

Bought this about a year and a half ago back when they were regularly running this deal at $150. Here's my impressions; The bass is excellent. The 7" Sub is very crisp and punchy. Probably some of the best bass in it's price class. The soundbar itself is not amazing. All mids, no highs. The first thing I noticed is it was very light when I picked it up. Just doesn't seem to be much in it. Has two full range drivers and that's it. No tweeters or center channel. The real problem is music. Not much range. I like to watch allot of soundtrack heavy programs and it just falls short. For sitcoms, news, and sports it does a fine job. Bluetooth works excellent, no connection issues whatsoever. The remote is tiny and cheap. I use mine with a 55" TCL Series 6 TV. I run it through the optical connection and use it in conjunction with the TV speakers. The TV speakers are decent and help to fill in the missing highs. Overall you could do worse for the price class. But I'd shop around first and check out the Vizios and LGs before buying...

A regular reoccurring deal, but a good one. I really like this sound bar.

With the low profile, would this still be good for a big open living room with high ceilings? Do you think it would still be loud and fill the room?

How big? And how high? For filling a room from a sound bar I'd look somewhere else. JBL bar 3.1 is a monster of a bar that will fill a room. Refurb from MFG it's still over double this price though.

I wouldn't put this in a big room, but a smaller to medium would be fine.

Sounds great, and blows away a bedroom.

Thanks. Yea at this price I think anything would be a significant improvement to the TV speakers. I can't hear anything and typically have the volume up to like 70 if I'm watching anything with music. In for 1

Got this for my wife who always played spotify/pandora on our bedroom TV while getting ready for work. She LOVES it. We have a full klipsch home theater in the basement, but this bar sounds very nice for the bedroom.
