Great games, well worth the money. They're basically point & click adventure with a relatively long gameplay time. It's a little strange to get used to their style of logic, and the plots are even stranger in relation to the game mechanics. But overall they're pretty fun.

edit: by long game play time, I mean 15+ hours on the first one with most clocking in around 20. And 10+ hours on the second game, with most clocking in around 13 hours. Either of which is incredible for a point & click.

TLJ is great but quite a bit outdated. Dreamfall is more modern and I think has the best story of the series. Sad the last game wasn't very good.

The graphics are dated and could definitely use a remake but the gameplay, puzzles and story are still excellent.

I remember playing the first one when it was released with my ex-wife. Great game. Need to play the second one.

I have the original CDs. Played TLJ and it's incredible. Sure the graphics are dated, but that shouldn't deter any adventure game fan.

Was researching whether these games will play fine on Win10 and it sounds like the first game might be glitchy. From the praise the first game got in reviews, I was really wanting to play it.

I installed the dbvoodoo2 just for fun. It's a Direct3D wrapper and brings this 1999 game up to about 2003 level graphics.

Here is instructions.

And one of my screen shots. The biggest difference is the 1920x1440 resolution increase over the original 640x480.

Two of some of the best games I've ever played, story-wise. Maybe it was the time in my life when I played them, but they had a lasting effect on me. If you love a good story and adventure/sci-fi game, this is well worth the price!

They're on Steam and I've played on Win 10 no problem. Most recent was maybe 2 years ago. There are many resources in making them work with Fallout's method being just one.

edit: in classic games, Steam's versions typically have a software wrapper to make them work in modern systems. This source may or may not include a wrapper.

Thanks. Picked it up already since this is only a 24 hour sale and didn't want to miss it. Will give it a try in Win 10 and see how it plays.
