* It should be noted this includes the better part of *2* years worth of filters and it uses the Winix A style filters, so cheap(er) equivalents can be used (they run about $25 per set for equiv sets.)

* Also from the Ozone police

PlasmaWave creates at least some ozone. Ozone is an indoor air quality pollutant. Consider buying something else that creates zero ozone.

* And now to address this, the plasmawave can be deactivated (handily labeled button) AND the CALIFORNIA Air Resources Board (CARB) certified the Winix PlasmaWave technology as "ozone free", so this means that (WHEN ACTIVE) the ozone emitted is beneath a certain threshold that CALIFORNIA considers safe. Why the emphasis about California? They're the reason all of your products have, could cause cancer stickers. And even they think it's safe (again, when active.) if you don't want any ozone at all, don't run the plasmawave feature.

* Links that helped me understand the Ozone, plasmawave, hydroxil, etc concerns. This is a great air filter system and it has the option to turn on or off the ozone feature, use the info below to decide if you want to turn on the plasmawave:

I was test driving cars last week and boy, is the Toyota Corolla a real piece of shit. Went with an Escalade instead.

But when you come back a month later and it has an inch layer of hair and dust and the inner hepa filter is dark grey, it certainly must be doing something, right?

In for two. Thanks for posting. It didn't hit my deal alert because "purifier" wasn't included in title, fyi. Just happened to see it on recently submitted threads. May want to add that to title Smilie

I think this is the cheapest it has been at Costco without an additional Google Express coupon.

Last time it was this price it went FP with 200+ upvotes: https://slickdeals.net/f/12101860-winix-c535-air-cleaner-with-plasmawave-technology-100
