The Insignia at Best Buy is analagous to an Instant Pot Lux model, which is a lower model with high pressure only and no yogurt program, and it also has a nonstick liner instead of stainless. This Duo is a very nice machine with high and low pressure, nice manual control options, and it can do either cold start or boil method yogurt. It has a stainless inner pot, better for searing meats, and more durable.

I've been wondering, why are instant pots all the rage lately?

Yup. That danged Insignia pot gets brought up in every Instant Pot post but the crappy nonstick liner makes it a non-option for me, and anyone who likes to sear a roast before cooking it.

For me the best thing is I can make a fall-apart pot roast or pulled pork or shredded chicken in an hour. Completely eliminates the need to set up a slow cooker in the morning, and dirty a different pan just to sear it first.
